Supported Products:
Chatt Fix offers services for various products, including Laptop Computers, Desktop Computers, Netbooks, and Apple iDevices (iPads, iTouches, iPhones). We may also consider servicing other products at the discretion of our managers and technicians, but serviceability is not guaranteed.
Estimates:
We provide estimates for all standard supported products. However, some non-standard devices may require a quoted estimate fee due to their complex or technical nature. Estimates can usually be provided in person on the spot by a manager or technician. However, in some cases, it may take over 24 hours due to high job volume or device complexity. Over-the-phone estimates are non-binding and meant for informational purposes only. An accurate or binding estimate can only be given after examining the device in person.
We aim to be thorough with our estimates, but it is not always possible to identify all issues until work is performed. Our estimates may change during the servicing process, and any changes will be communicated to you for approval before proceeding.
Limited Shop Warranty:
Any service performed at Chatt Fix using parts purchased by us to fix a specific device issue is guaranteed for 30 days from the date of service. The warranty covers all issues or symptoms addressed during the repair. However, it does not cover unrelated issues that may arise within the guarantee period.
Parts obtained from Chatt Fix for servicing your device are also covered under the 30-day warranty. Please note that used or refurbished parts may be used, but they are still covered under our Limited Shop Warranty.
Warranty Exclusions:
We do not offer warranties or guarantees for services using parts not purchased through Chatt Fix, software issues (including virus removal), or new symptoms/issues unrelated to the original service within the 30-day guarantee period. Modifying existing hardware or installing new hardware within the guarantee period will also void the warranty. Additionally, any device damage caused by user error, negligence, or tampering within the warranty period will not be covered.
Replacement Parts Procedure:
If your device requires parts to complete the repair, we will inform you in advance about the part needed, associated costs, and the estimated arrival time. A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the cost of the ordered parts may be required if you choose to hold on to your device until the parts arrive.
Chatt Fix typically uses parts purchased by us to ensure compatibility and functionality with your device. If you provide your own parts, we cannot guarantee the work and will not provide any warranty or guarantee for the service.
Manufacturer Warranty Repair:
Some services performed by Chatt Fix may void your manufacturer's warranty. We will try to inform you before proceeding if your manufacturer provides exemptions for professional repair shops. However, we recommend checking with your manufacturer before bringing your device for repair.
Estimate and Repair Time:
We strive to provide on-the-spot estimates, but for some devices, a thorough examination is required, and estimates may be provided within 24 hours. Repair times are subject to factors beyond our control, and we prioritize repairs on a first-come, first-served basis. Rush Service is available for quicker repairs but does not guarantee a specific timeframe for completion.
Equipment Storage and Handling:
We will hold devices for up to 30 days after contacting you for pickup. After 30 days, unclaimed devices may be considered abandoned and become property of Chatt Fix. Please ensure timely pickup or make arrangements for storing your equipment.
Payment:
We accept all major credit cards and cash. No upfront payment is required for estimates and diagnosis, except for printers and projectors or for ordering specialized parts for data recovery services.
Data:
While we take precautions to protect your data, we do not guarantee its security. We encourage you to back up important files before bringing your device in for service.
Chatt Fix LLC is not responsible for data loss, software issues, or further damage resulting from pre-existing conditions or failed hardware components.
Chatt Fix LLC provides physical hardware repairs only. We never request remote access to your devices
Refund:
If a repair cannot be completed, the customer will be notified. Refunds are not issued after a successful repair. Deposits on ordered parts are non-refundable.
Shipping Policy:
Mail-in customers are responsible for properly packaging devices for shipment. We recommend tracked, insured shipping. Chatt Fix is not responsible for damages or losses in transit.
Warranty Policy
Repairs performed with Chatt Fix-supplied parts include a 30-day limited warranty covering the repaired issue. Damage caused after service or by third-party tampering voids this warranty
